SE Asia Tragedy
I've been watching the SE Asian Tragedy on the news this evening - and quite frankly, I am lost for words.
I guess tragedy can lead to misery and hopelessness, or alternatively, by the way that as people, as families and as countries respond. Tragedies can also become defining moments which lead to greatness - bringing out the very best in mankind.
And thank God for organisations such as World Vision, Unicef, Red Cross and Oxfam in times like these.

Hi Lionfish...thanks for your encouraging posts to my blog. And what the heck are "salmon sharks"?!! Since I've never heard of them, I doubt we have them here in B.C. No Great Whites either. However, we do have an amazing shark called the Six Gill Shark. It's one of the oldest shark species on the planet and one of the few places you can see them is off the west coast of Canada, right here in B.C. The reason they are rarely seen elsewhere is because they are 'bottom sharks' and live down deep. They come up in B.C. in the spring to breed. I have not had the chance to see them...yet! But it's on my to do list. How about you? Any shark sightings?

I think the effects on us all will continue for some time too. Hasn't the Australian response been great. Just when I thought we were all getting far too greedy, something like this turns a nation on its head. Hope it lasts.
