Character: Handling Conflict
"Treat a man as he is and he will remain as he is. Treat a man as he can and should be and be and he will become as he can and he should be".
-Goethe
Getting better at thinking before I respond but made another error of judgement yesterday.
With mixed motives and in an effort to win an intellectual argument - I fear I lost the person.
Truth when communicated without Grace is ineffectual.
Gracious choice of words is critically important - especially in conflict situations.

Hi Lance, I just logged in and noticed your comments -my work is busy and havent been getting home until late...its kind of cool that you have found my Blog. I generally run Phils Blog in the background during the day - it gets pretty boring crucnching numbers and writing reports.
BTW I am the same across both Blogs...for good and for bad...
My question on Phil's Blog to you wasnt supposed to hurt but to give you a bit of a shake. I have been through the same 'hate the Church' thing as yourself and they were the questions I had to ask myself. When you find truthful ansers to those questions - you will be able to walk free.
No-one hates you Lance...you dont do yourself any favours by accusing everyone - some of your comments have hurt me too, Lionfsh my appear pretty hard nosed - but I'm a person with feelings too. So lets put it to one side.
Yes - I am human and refelct on life on a daily basis...stumble and fall...do some good stuff...stumble and fall.
Tell me your story - why are you so angry? If you want to talk offline - feel free to send me an email.

Lance, its your bitterness - your responsibility. As I said God only helps those who help themselves.
And yes you do bring out the worst in me...you make me angry at times...but I'll make the choice to grow through it and get better fir it. Now thats priceless!
Will you?

Do you best - I can deal with anger - its just an emotion that can be controlled. At best you will provide some more infotainment - at worst you will be like an annoying little fly on a hot summers day... And I won't play the victim. I know life is bigger than that.
Yesterday, you once again demonstrated an inability to formulate a coherent, logical arugument. Foiled again. You have got no defensible, justifiable reason for the way you behave the way that you do except - that you beleieve that you are a poor victim and suffered an injustice in life.
You could be so much better than this. You dont have to find your identity, your very being, your cause and your reason for living in being "the victim with no-where to run'. Imagine if Sy Rogers had done that!
Your bitterness. Your Life. Your Responsibility. Your Choice.
Life is a gift.
Enough said
